Why use an ANC 8(a) Hubzone Company?

The answer is to use the added benefits of contracting directly with an innovative Alaskan Native
Corporation (ANC).  Many government-contracting organizations are not familiar with the ease
of which an engagement can be entered into and what advantages are available under the 8(a)
ANC program.  When an ANC is used by a government entity, they shorten the procurement
cycle, add benefits otherwise not available to the ANC and deliver the absolutely highest
quality-lowest cost to the government.

As an ANC,
KICD qualifies for SOLE-SOURCE, 8(a) contract procurements that can exceed the
normal 8(a) $3 million threshold.  Also, as an ANC, there are
NO GEOGRAPHICAL PREFERENCES,
and an award made to an ANC is
NON- PROTESTABLE, which has been proven to be an extremely
effective tool for Contracting Officers and Federal Agencies that have a need or desire to
expedite critical projects.

KICD is granted a 10% PRICE PREFERENCE in full and open competition as an ANC 8(a) and an
additional
10% PRICE PREFERENCE with it's HUBZone status.  The HUBZone Empowerment
Contracting program provides Federal Government contracting opportunities for qualified small
businesses located in distressed areas.

KICD
also has the ability to negotiate SOLE-SOURCE contracts and participate in competition,
which is limited to HUBZone firms.
